Meringue Tortes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Beat together until frothy the egg whites and cream of tartar. Gradually beat in sugar, a little at a time.
    Beat until very stiff and glossy.
    Drop by small spoonfuls in a circle on brown paper on baking sheet.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Then turn oven off and leave in oven until oven has cooled.
    Serve filled with ice cream and fresh berries.
