Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. chopped apples
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 c. self-rising flour
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation

Sift together flour, sugar and cinnamon.
Mix in shortening and eggs.
Add vanilla and chopped apples.
Batter will be stiff. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Frost when cool with Caramel Frosting following.
