Leita Rose'S Velvety Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. milk
    4 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. sugar (maybe a pinch more)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Beat eggs lightly; add sugar, salt and vanilla.
    Heat milk to boiling point.
    Slowly add hot milk to egg mixture, stirring constantly and blending well.
    Bake pie shell for a few minutes before filling.
    Leave pie crust on oven rack while filling. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Bake at 475\u00b0 for 5 minutes, reduce heat to 425\u00b0 and continue baking for 10 minutes.
