Cool Lime Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Pet-Ritz pie crust shell
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime gelatin
    1 c. boiling water
    3 c. vanilla ice cream, softened
    1 1/2 c. whipped topping, thawed
Preparation
    Cook pie crust according to directions on pie shell.
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
    Add ice cream and stir until melted. Chill until thickened, about 20 minutes.
    Fold in whipped topping. Pour into baked pie crust.
    Chill until firm, about 2 hours. Garnish with whipped topping, if desired.
