Ingredients

3/4 lb. bulk pork sausage
3/4 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. finely chopped green onion
1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
1 (8 oz.) can pizza sauce
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
8 small hamburger buns
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
Preparation

Crumble sausage and beef in a 2-quart casserole.
Stir in onion and green pepper.
Microwave at High for 6 to 7 minutes, or until meat is brown, stirring every 2 minutes.
Drain well.
Add pizza sauce and garlic salt, mixing well.
Microwave at High for 2 to 3 minutes, or until hot, stirring once.
Spoon meat mixture on bottom of hamburger buns; sprinkle with cheese.
Microwave at High for 1 minute and 15 seconds to 1 minutes and 45 seconds, or until cheese begins to melt.
Cover with bun tops.
Microwave at High for 30 to 45 seconds, or until tops are warm.
Serve immediately. Yields 8 servings.
