Linguine With Broccoli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. linguine
    3 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
    3 large cloves garlic, minced
    3 scallions, chopped
    1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
    1 c. chicken stock or bouillon
    1/2 c. fresh basil, finely chopped
    2/3 c. freshly grated Romano cheese
Preparation
    Cook linguine until al dente; drain.
    Saute garlic in olive oil for 1 minute.
    Add scallions and broccoli, stirring to combine. Pour chicken stock over mixture and cover.
    Cook for 2 minutes or until tender, but still bright green.
    Add basil, then toss with linguine and Romano cheese.
    Season with hot pepper flakes, if desired.
