Homestead Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 oz.) box frozen mixed vegetables
    3 ribs celery, diced
    1 small green pepper, diced
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can red kidney beans
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 heaping Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. hot dog mustard
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
Preparation
    Cook, drain and cool frozen vegetables.
    Add celery, green pepper, onion and kidney beans.
    Stir sugar and flour in a saucepan.
    Add vinegar and mustard and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Mix into vegetables while still hot.
    Dash on salt and stir.
    Cover well and refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
