Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
1 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. chopped onions
4 eggs
2 c. boiling water

Preparation

Sift and mix all dry ingredients.
Add onion and beaten eggs. Pour hot water over this mixture, stirring until batter is smooth. Drop by spoon into hot fat about 350\u00b0 until brown.
