Chicken Noodle Tetrazzini - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 lb.) chicken or 8 whole breasts
    1 tsp. salt
    2 qt. water
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. noodles
    1 medium green pepper, chopped
    1 medium onion, minced
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
    1/2 lb. melted butter or margarine
    2/3 c. all-purpose flour
    2 c. milk
    1/2 lb. shredded pasteurized process American cheese
    1/2 lb. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook chicken in salted water until tender.
    Remove from broth. Cool, bone and cut into small pieces.
    Strain broth.
    Let cool and remove fat.
    Reserve chicken broth.
