German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. potatoes
    1 lb. bacon
    1 large onion
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. sugar
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Cook potatoes with jackets on.
    When cool, peel and cube.
    Cut bacon and fry.
    Brown onion in bacon grease.
    Add vinegar, water and sugar.
    Bring to a boil and add potatoes which have been salted.
    Heat thoroughly in large frypan or large casserole in moderate oven.
    Serve hot.
