Macaroon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1 c. sugar
    14 crushed saltines
    1/4 c. chopped nuts
    14 chopped dates
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until foamy.
    Add sugar gradually until meringue is stiff.
    Fold in other ingredients.
    Bake in 9-inch Pyrex pan for 20 to 30 minutes or until brown in 350\u00b0 oven.
    Serves 6. Top with scoop of ice cream.
