Marinara Sauce(On The Healthy Side) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 medium carrots, finely chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    2 (28 oz.) cans tomatoes, cut up
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
    dash of pepper
    dash of crushed red pepper
Preparation
    In a 3-quart saucepan, cook onion, carrots and garlic in hot oil until tender, but not brown.
    Add undrained tomatoes, sugar, salt, oregano, pepper and red pepper.
    Bring to boiling.
    Reduce heat.
    Simmer, uncovered, for 45 to 60 minutes.
    Serve over spaghetti, linguine or other pasta.
