Quick Buttermilk Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. lukewarm thick buttermilk
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. soda
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 cake yeast
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat buttermilk to lukewarm.
    Add sugar, soda and shortening. Stir until shortening is soft.
    Crumble yeast into mixture; stir well.
    Pour into mixing bowl.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together into mixture and mix well.
    Let dough stand on floured board for 10 minutes.
    Knead lightly and make into rolls.
    Let rise 1 1/2 hours.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until browned.
