Cherry Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. chopped pecans
4 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
36 maraschino cherries
2 Tbsp. maraschino cherry juice
confectioners sugar
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Grease tins.
Sprinkle bottom of each tin with 1/2 teaspoon pecans.
Cream together butter and sugars. Add beaten egg yolks until blended.
Mix flour and baking powder. Add gradually to butter.
Beat egg whites.
Add cherry juice and fold in egg whites.
