Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 small pkg. strawberry jello
    3 c. hot water
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    2 boxes frozen strawberries, crushed
    1 1/2 c. sour cream
    5 mashed bananas
    nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in hot water.
    When cool, add pineapple, bananas, nuts and strawberries.
    Mix well and pour into a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Set this in refrigerator to congeal (leave remainder at room temperature so it won't set).
    After first half is set, spread sour cream over the surface.
    Sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
    Pour remainder of mixture over sour cream and let it set.
