Caramel Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. unpopped corn
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. white vinegar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. oleo or butter
    1/4 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Pop corn; make 12
    cups.
    Place in large bowl.\tCombine sugars, corn syrup, water, vinegar,
    salt
    and soda in 2 quart saucepan.
    Heat to\tboiling
    over
    medium-high
    heat, stirring constantly.
    Cook at 260\u00b0
    on
    a
    candy
    thermometer
    or until small amount of mixture dropped
    into
    very cold water forms a hard ball.\tReduce heat to\tlow.
    Stir in butter until melted. Pour syrup in thin streams\tover
    corn in bowl, stirring until corn is coated.
    Cool
    slightly.
    Butter
    hands and shape into 3-inch balls.
