Apricot Bread - cooking recipe

1 c. chopped apricots
1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. shortening
1 egg
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. orange juice
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Soak apricots for 30 minutes; drain.
Mix the first 6 ingredients.
Sift dry ingredients together and add chopped nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan or 2 pound coffee can.
Bake 50 to 60 minutes at 350\u00b0.
