Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    2 1/2 c. flour, sifted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Add well beaten egg. Mix with sifted flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add alternately with milk and first mixture.
    Turn into greased cake pan.
    Bake in a slow oven at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
