Dark Cherry Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. sour milk*
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 - 4 oz bottle of maraschino cherries, chopped
    1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
    1 oz square of chocolate, melted
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar, add egg and beat well.
    Add sour milk alternating with flour sifted with soda and salt.
    Stir in melted chocolate, cherries (juice included), and nuts.
    Turn into greased 8 inch square cake pan and bake in a moderate oven 350\u00b0 for 55 minutes.
    Frost with a chocolate frosting.
