Tortilla Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 c. water
    1 lb. can tomatoes
    1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
    1 (15 oz.) can Ranch-style beans
    1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
    1 c. frozen cut corn
    6 corn tortillas, torn into large pieces
Preparation
    Brown ground beef with onion and all spices.
    Add all other ingredients, except tortillas, and simmer for 1 hour.
    About 5 minutes before serving, add tortillas, continuing to simmer. Serve hot with cornbread.
