Caramel Apple Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. sugar cookie mix
    2 cans apple pie filling
    1 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
    1 to 1 1/2 c. caramel apple dip or caramel topping
Preparation
    Make sugar cookie mixes as directed on box.
    Spread on an ungreased large cookie sheet.
    Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Add cinnamon and nutmeg to apple pie filling, if desired.
    Crush apples with a potato masher, if desired.
    Remove cookie crust from oven. Spread apples on top.
    Heat up caramel until it can be dribbled over the top of the apples.
