Strawberry Truffle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pound cake
    1 container fresh strawberries
    1 jar strawberry preserves
    2 boxes instant vanilla pudding (3 1/2 oz. size)
    1 pt. whipped cream
    1/2 c. slivered almonds or walnuts, chopped
Preparation
    Make pudding following directions on box.
    Whip the cream until firm.
    Slice pound cake and spread preserves on each side of slice.
    Layer pound cake in a 3-quart glass bowl on bottom, then along sides (punch bowl works well).
    Layer strawberries, pudding, whipped cream and pound cake.
    Repeat layers. Top with whipped cream and chopped nuts.
