Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 can fruit cocktail (No. 303 can), drained (save juice for batter)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients (except fruit cocktail).
    Put fruit cocktail in batter last.
    Pour
    in greased pans.
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup light brown sugar
    over
    batter
    and sprinkle with chopped (not ground) pecans.
    Bake at
    350\u00b0
    for
    40 minutes.
    Makes 2 cakes, 1 square Pyrex pan and one small oblong.
