Gondure Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. white rice, uncooked
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) Portuguese sausage
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/4 c. black olives, pitted
    5 cloves garlic, crushed
    2 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 c. water
    2 lb. pork
    1 1/2 c. gondure beans
    1 c. achote oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 tsp. parsley, chopped
    1 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Chop pork and sausage into small pieces; put in a large pot. Add achote oil and fry until brown.
    Add onions, garlic and parsley.
    Simmer for 5 minutes.
    Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper.
    Simmer for 5 minutes more.
    Add gondure beans and olives. Simmer for 5 minutes.
    Add water and bring to a boil.
    Then simmer for 15 minutes.
    Wash rice, drain and add to sauce mixture. Cook on low heat until rice is cooked.
    Stir occasionally.
    Makes 10 to 15 servings.
