Butter Beans With Tomato Sauce And Parmesan - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. shelled butter beans or baby limas
6 c. vegetable stock or water
1 c. tomato sauce
1 or 2 bay leaves
1/4 tsp. fresh ground pepper
3 Tbsp. fresh chopped parsley
1 to 2 oz. grated Reggiano Parmesan cheese
Preparation

Heat beans, stock, tomato sauce and bay leaf in a large pot. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Uncover and add pepper to taste. Cook 5 minutes or longer to thicken.
Discard bay leaf and serve in bowls with grated fresh Parmesan cheese on top.
If you use canned stock, there is no need to add salt.
