Potluck Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. frozen hash browns
    1/2 c. melted butter or oleo
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 c. cream of chicken soup
    1 pt. sour cream
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    2 c. crushed corn flakes
Preparation
    Put hash browns in a large bowl and defrost just enough to come apart. Add 1/4 cup butter, salt, pepper, onion, soup, sour cream and cheese.
    Take the other 1/4 cup butter and mix in small bowl with corn flakes. Keep out several spoonfuls for top and put rest in other ingredients.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Put into buttered 3-quart casserole, 9 x 13-inch dish or 4 small baking dishes. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    May be covered with foil and stored in refrigerator for baking or in freezer for later use.
