Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 1/2 c. strawberry jam
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time.
    Sift flour and re-measure.
    Add soda, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Add buttermilk to creamed mixture.
    Mix well.
    Gradually add flour mixture.
    Mix well.
    Stir in pecans.
    Pour batter into 3 prepared pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
