Cucumber Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. chopped cucumbers
    2 c. chopped sweet green peppers
    2 c. chopped sweet red peppers
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 qt. cold water
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 tsp. whole allspice
    2 tsp. whole cloves
    2 sticks cinnamon
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
Preparation
    Combine cucumbers, peppers, onion and turmeric.
    Dissolve salt in cold water and pour over vegetables.
    Let stand 3 to 4 hours. Drain.
    Cover vegetables with cold water and let stand 1 hour. Drain thoroughly.
