Strawberry Macaroon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix
    1/4 c. water
    1 1/3 c. flaked coconut
    1 qt. fresh strawberries, sliced and sweetened
    1 large egg
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. heavy cream
Preparation
    Combine cake mix, egg, water, shortening and 1 cup coconut; mix well.
    Bake in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan for 18 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool.
    Whip cream and fold in strawberries.
    Spread over the baked cake.
    Top with remaining coconut.
    Makes 12 servings.
