White German Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
1/4 lb. white chocolate
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. flaked coconut
Preparation

Melt chocolate in double boiler.
Sift and measure sugar.
Add baking powder and salt to sugar and sift again.
Soften butter or margarine.
Cream with sugar mixture until light and fluffy.
Add egg yolks and beat thoroughly.
Add melted chocolate and vanilla and beat again.
Add flour and buttermilk alternately, and beat after each addition.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Stir in nuts and coconut.
Bake in two 9-inch pans at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
