Ingredients

3 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
8 oz. sour cream with 1/4 tsp. salt dissolved in it
1 c. flaked coconut
Preparation

Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
Grease and flour large tube pan. Cream butter and sugar, adding eggs one at a time.
Mix well after each addition.
Add flour and baking soda, then vanilla and sour cream, mixing well.
Stir in coconut.
Spoon into tube pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.
Do not test with toothpick too often or too soon as cake may fall.
