Pecan Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans
    1 c. cake flour
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Cream shortening and butter until very soft, add sugar and cream well.
    Add vanilla.
    Measure nuts, then chop very fine (use blender or food processor). Combine with flour and stir creamed mixture.
    Form into small balls, place them on ungreased baking sheet and bake in slow oven at 300\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
    Roll while hot in powdered sugar.
    When cold, roll again in powdered sugar.
    Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
