Apple Chutney - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. diced apples
    1 c. cider vinegar
    1/2 lemon, seeded but not peeled and chopped
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/3 c. minced ginger
    1 or 2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of cayenne
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in saucepan and simmer until fruit is soft, about a half hour if the apples are crisp.
    Serve warm or cold.
