Bean Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 to 1 lb. hot dogs, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
    2 (1 lb.) cans pork and beans
    1 Tbsp. mustard
    3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    2/3 c. corn meal
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/4 c. cooking oil
    1/2 c. catsup
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. milk
    1/3 c. finely chopped onion
Preparation
    Combine hot dogs, beans, catsup, water and mustard in a 12 x 8-inch baking dish.
    Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl.
    Stir in corn meal.
    Add egg, milk, oil and onion all at once to sifted dry ingredients.
    Stir just enough to combine.
    Spoon mixture over beans.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
    Makes 8 servings.
