Carolina Chew Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick margarine, softened
1 (16 oz.) pkg. light brown sugar
3 eggs
2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped pecans
powdered sugar
Preparation

Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, beating well.
Blend in flour.
Stir in remaining ingredients except powdered sugar.
Spoon batter into a well-greased and lightly floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Cool.
Dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
