Chili Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. white cornmeal
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    salt to taste
    1/2 c. melted shortening
    1 can cream-style corn
    3/4 c. milk
    2 eggs, beaten
    3 cans green chilies, chopped
    2 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except cheese and chilies .
    Pour half of batter in iron skillet.
    Cover with half of the cheese and chili peppers.
    Cover with rest of the batter and top with rest of cheese and peppers.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing from skillet.
