Butternut Squash Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium sized (1-1/2 lb.) butternut squash, cooked, peeled and cubed
    1 medium sized potato, cooked, peeled and cubed
    1 small onion, chopped
    2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
    2 c. chicken broth
    1 tsp. cumin
    1 tsp. oregano
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 lb. coarsely chopped turkey kielbasa sausage, optional
Preparation
    Coat a large saucepan with cooking spray. Saute garlic and onion until soft. Add remaining ingredients, and bring to a boil. Using a potato masher, mash squash and potato until soup is very thick. Add more liquid as desired and simmer for 20 minutes. If desired, add coarsely chopped turkey kielbasa sausage while simmering. Remove bay leaf and serve.
