"Seven Day" Slaw(From Hudson'S Restaurant In Hilton Head, South Carolina) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage
    1 red onion
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 c. oil
    1 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 Tbsp. dry mustard
    1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 Tbsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Slice cabbage and onion thinly or shred them.
    Toss with 1/3 cup sugar.
    Mix remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.
    Pour boiling mixture over cabbage.
    Let set and, in 5 minutes, mix. Chill in refrigerator and serve on leaves of romaine.
    Serves 4.
