Apple Fritter Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large tart cooking apples
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    dash of salt
    1 beaten egg
    2/3 c. milk
    1 tsp. cooking oil
Preparation
    Core and peel apples; cut into 1/2-inch thick rings and set aside.
    In a mixing bowl, thoroughly stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Combine egg, milk and oil.
    Add all at once to flour mixture, stirring just until combined.
