Aunt Sophie'S Smurcruse - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 lb. butter
    cream (enough to moisten)
Preparation
    Work flour and butter together with pastry cutter.
    Moisten with cream.
    Roll out to 1/2-inch thick and cut into 1/2 x 2 to 3-inch strips.
    Make small slits along one side and sprinkle with sugar.
    Bake in hot oven at 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
