Sugared Crullers(Makes 24 Crullers) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 packs yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 c. milk, scalded and cooled to lukewarm
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Beat 1 cup flour into cooled milk.
    Beat margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add egg and salt. Beat well.
    Add the milk-flour combination and the yeast.
    Gradually add 3 1/2 cups of flour until it forms a soft, not stiff dough.
    Knead until smooth and elastic.
    Place in greased bowl.
    Cover and let rise until doubled.
    Turn out on floured pastry cloth.
    Press into 8 x 16-inch rectangle.
    Cut in strips 2/3-inch wide by 8-inch.
    Makes 24.
