Italian Creme Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. soft butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. buttermilk
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
4 egg whites
Preparation

In large mixer bowl, beat butter and shortening until combined.
Add sugar; beat on medium speed until mixture is light and fluffy.
Add egg yolks and vanilla; beat well.
In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder and baking soda; add to egg yolk mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating just until combined after each addition.
Stir in coconut and pecans.
