Csirkepaprikas(Chicken Paprika) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 lb. chicken, cut up
    2 large onions, chopped
    2 to 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 1/2 Tbsp. sweet paprika
    1/4 tsp. hot paprika (more to taste)
    3/4 Tbsp. salt
    2 to 3 large garlic cloves, minced
    1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
    2 c. water (only 1 c. if not making Sour Cream Sauce)
Preparation
    Sprinkle salt over chicken; let stand for a half hour.
    Saute onions and garlic in vegetable oil until golden.
    Add black pepper and the paprikas; stir (don't let paprika burn).
    Add water.
    Add chicken and cook until tender, approximately 45 minutes.
