Quickie Butterscotch Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter or oleo
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Melt butter in large pan.
    Remove from heat.
    Blend in sugar. Cool slightly.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
    Add to sugar mixture with other ingredients.
    Stir until mixed.
    Pour into a greased and floured 11 x 7-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
