Mexican Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 Tbsp. minced onion
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 c. chopped or sliced olives
    1 c. cottage cheese
    1 c. sour cream
    3 to 4 canned green chilies, chopped
    1 (6 1/2 oz.) pkg. tortilla chips
    3 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese
Preparation
    Fry beef; drain off fat.
    Add onion, garlic, tomato sauce and olives to beef.
    Combine in bowl the sour cream, cottage cheese and green chilies. Crush tortilla chips slightly, reserving a few whole ones for garnish.
    Place 1/4 chips in bottom of well buttered or sprayed 2 1/2-quart casserole.
    Add 1/4 meat mixture; cover with 1/4 sour cream mixture.
    Sprinkle with cheese.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes, or cook in microwave for approximately 7 minutes.
    Turn and cook 7 minutes more.
