Venison Or Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew meat
    1 large onion, sliced
    1/2 lb. carrots, sliced
    1 c. prunes stuffed with hazelnuts (optional)
    3 bay leaves
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 Tbsp. parsley, chopped
    1/2 c. Guiness' Stout
    1/2 c. water
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cut meat in bite size pieces.
    Heat oil.
    Add bay leaves; cover.
    Let them \"crackle,\" then add meat and brown on all sides. When half done, add onion.
    Sprinkle flour over and brown.
    Add Guiness and water (add more liquid as needed).
    Add parsley and carrots.
    Cover and cook in 275\u00b0 oven about 2 hours.
    Stir and add water as needed.
    If desired, add prunes last 1/2 hour.
    Serves 4.
