1/3 c. butter or margarine
1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
1/4 c. sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Cream butter with brown sugar in a small mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
Add flour and walnuts; mix to make a crumb mixture.
Reserve 1 cup for topping.
Press remainder into bottom of an 8-inch square pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes, until lightly browned.
