Sally'S Chicken Strata(Serves 8 To 12) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 to 8 slices bread, crusts removed
    4 c. diced cooked chicken
    1 large can drained mushrooms or fresh
    2 (5 oz.) cans water chestnuts, drained and sliced
    1 1/2 c. stuffing mix
    1/8 c. butter, melted
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can cream of celery soup
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 (2 oz.) jar pimentos, chopped and drained
    shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    First Layer:
    Cover bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch pan with crustless bread.
