Old-Fashioned Apple Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    fresh apples or applesauce
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together, except for apples, like biscuit dough.
    Divide dough into 6 balls.
    Roll out thin.
    Bake each in a cake pan at 400\u00b0 until brown.
    When cool, put applesauce or cooked fresh apples between each layer.
    Refrigerate.
