Joan'S Chow-Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. chopped cabbage
    1 1/2 gal. chopped green tomatoes
    1/4 c. hot peppers
    1 qt. chopped onions
    2 Tbsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 lb. sugar
    1 gal. vinegar
Preparation
    Soak cabbage and tomatoes in salt overnight.
    Press out salt water.
    Mix vinegar, sugar and mustard.
    Combine with cabbage mixture and cook until done.
    Can in pint jars and seal.
